Denis Ponte has been a law enforcement officer for over 22 years. He is currently and active member of a major metropolitan police department, where he serves as a full-time Firearms Safety Instructor and as a S.W.A.T. team sniper. 

He has been a certified Firearms instructor since 2009 through the Police Officers Standards of Training (P.O.S.T.) He is a certified as a Police Sniper Instructor through Sniper Craft. Denis is a current member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors. 

As an Instructor he is part of a team that is responsible for training police officers and helping them enhance their shooting skills while also instilling valuable safety and maintain their qualifications with all assigned weapons. The team is also responsible for training and qualifying incoming officers in the Police Academy.
